Murky Depths #6

Murky Depths seems to be getting better each issue. Issue #6 includes a superb cover by Jason Beam as well as an in depth interview with him. While all the stories are superbly illustrated, issue #6 includes four full length comics which are superb mixture of compelling storytelling and amazing illustration. The Factory is incredibly evocative, while Hellbound is just plain transgressive. There is even a couple of Christmas stories, there is the darkly named The Butcher and the Fly keeper and the sci fi tale “All I want for Christmas”.

What stands out in each issue of Murky Depth is the way in which fiction and art intertwine; every story is superbly illustrated in such a way that the art becomes integral to the tale. This mixture of superb fiction and visual extravagance makes each issue of Murky Depths an exciting experience.
