Blab! is the magazine of Monte Beauchamp, a
highly respected independent artists ad author. He has edited and designed some
amazing publications published by Fantagraphics among
others. I especially like his work on older graphic art such as Devilish
Greetings: Vintage Devil Postcards, which reproduce rare and unusual devil
postcards from 1898 through the 1950s. Blab is now up to issue 18 and has
become one of the most significant alternative art magazines on the market. [More]
Comic Art
Web: http://www.comicartmagazine.com
Comic Art is the only beautifully produced, full-color art magazine
focusing on the comic medium. The material covered is wide-ranging: newspaper
strip, magazine panel, and comic book art, both historical and contemporary,
and we consistently feature the most well-respected
writers from both within and outside the field. Comic Art emphasizes
outstanding print quality and lush production values: illustrations are shot
directly—and in color—from both original art and obscure, rarely reproduced
printed material.

creations that inhabited British comics between the '50s and '70s, superbly
presented and packaged with great articles and illustrations.

Steve Ditko
is an enigmatic comic artist who was the original co-creator of Spiderman. His

recent times there has been a renaissance of interest in his work and a
realization of just how significant his art was in the context of the
development of modern comics.
