Asian Cult Cinema

15th ANNIVERSARY ISSUE!

THE WEIRDEST, THE FREAKIEST AND THE MOST EXTREME

ASIAN FILMS OF ALL TIME

This is a particularly nasty (I think they mean tasty !) edition of Asian Cult Cinema magazine.

It's filled with over-the-top descriptions and revolting images. Purposely so.

That's because this special 15th Year Anniversary issue is dedicated - totally - to the most extreme, the most outrageous, the most reprehensible Asian movies ever made: the Guilty Pleasures of the cult cinema world.

This entire issue is a celebration of the films that dared to be different, the movies that made everybody sit up and say: "We're not in Hollywood anymore." These are the movies that separated the East from the West.

One of the best things about this special edition is the scope: all the regular contributors are on hand to share their personal Guilty Pleasures plus there are various comments from our subscribers and the results of the ACC Readers' Poll (conducted November 12, 2007 via the internet).

Asian Cult Cinema Quarterly was founded by editor Thomas Weisser in 1990. And, today, ACC – with smart articles by esteemed writers – continues to be the dominant voice for Far Eastern cinema, a vibrant cinema that has grown from an ignored genre into the “new favorite flavor” of American mainstream audiences.

The regular contributors range from a syndicated New York Post columnist to the world’s foremost expert on Martial Arts, from a university professor of Cinema Studies to an award-winning mystery writer, from a big-name Hollywood director to a world famous horror novelist.

Asian Cult Cinema has published articles written by the some of the best known personalities in motion pictures, for example:“HK Meets Hollywood” by John Woo, “A Stupid Question” by Gong Li and “Asian Horror” by Oliver Stone. ACC has also printed exclusive interviews with genre’s superstars from director Seijun Suzuki to actor Chow Yun-Fat, from Jet Li to Jackie Chan.

Asian Cult Cinema Is America’s only film magazine dedicated solely to Motion Pictures from the Far East.
